Conqueror owners have covered almost every inch of our amazing country, so it stands to reason that they have been to or heard about Australia’s best fishing hot spots.

Cruising down kilometres of pristine, sun-bathed beaches combined with plenty of fishing hot spots is a dream trip for many off roaders.  Sadly discovering the best spots to haul in a fresh dinner is trickier than it seems, so we’ve caught a couple of hot spots for you to try on your next adventure.

Fraser Island – QLD

Fraser Island fishing speaks for itself. With 123 kilometres of premium beach fishing hot spots to choose from you can target tailor in the winter months and mackerel in the warmer months. The odd golden trevally or bone fish can be found in the shallow flats around the island or you can head inland to one of 100 fresh water lakes. Find out more.

Exmouth – WA

Famous for its offshore reef fishing hot spots, the beaches along Exmouth are equally rewarding with reef species quite common. If you have time leave your Conqueror in the caravan park and chase Marlin, Sail fish and Mahi Mahi off shore. Find out more.

Tumby Bay – SA

Tumby Bay is an ideal fishing base in the Eyre Peninsula. The surf beaches between Lincoln and Elliston are famous for their King George whiting whilst Ski Beach is best for Flathead and Salmon. Find out more.

Sapphire Coast – NSW

The Sapphire Coast region stretching from Bermagui and Cobargo to the Victorian border offers some of the best King fishing hot spots in the warmer months of Australia. If the Kingies aren’t on and you don’t mind getting a little wet, a net and torch at night will land you some fresh prawns to cook on a nearby barbeque. Find out more.
